West Seattle Junction FC Shines in Debut Scrimmage with 4-0 Win

West Seattle Junction FC made a memorable entrance onto the soccer scene with a resounding 4-0 victory over Cultures United in their first-ever scrimmage on Sunday, May 5th. Despite a goalless first half, Junction FC’s relentless attack paid off in the second half, with goals from Joel Demian, Will Maschmedt, Reed Henley, and Mani Diop securing the win.

Approximately 300 fans packed Nino Cantu Southwest Athletic Complex to witness the historic occasion, highlighting the community’s enthusiasm for their new team. Owner Jessica Pierce’s symbolic flag-bearing before kickoff underscored the club’s commitment to representing West Seattle.

Partnering with local eateries like Castillos Supermarkets and Cafe Calaveras, Junction FC ensured fans could enjoy concessions while supporting neighborhood businesses.
